Food Addiction Help – Can I Help You?

Want food addiction help that empowers you to get where you want to be?  Food addiction facts are abundant these days.  If anything there may be too much information or even too much misinformation.  Additionally there is the issue of finding the right approach for your unique needs.  Losing weight may not be what you need now or maybe ever need to do.  We need to sort out where you are first.  If losing weight is for you now then we can work up an approach that can work for you.

Addiction to food has been referred to as a cunning, powerful and baffling disease by some in the past.  I sure would not argue that point.  I don’t think it is baffling as it was 35 plus years ago when I was trying to lose weight or back in my middle school days 50 years ago when it became apparent to me, my parents, the school nurse who all  tried to get me food addiction help and knew that becoming morbidly obese was going to be a major problem for me.  For you to do best with food addiction help from me you need to understand that this challenge requires a holistic approach involving body, mind and spirit (note that the term “spirit” does not mean the same as “religion”).  No one provider is likely to take you where you want to go including me.  You are likely to need a team.

Food Addiction Help Works For Everyone?

Naturally I can’t help everyone either.  We would be fools to think everyone succeeds from food addiction treatment or coaching.  Clearly the food addiction facts suggests otherwise.  You are most likely to be successful when receiving food addiction help from me if you are ready to work a long term plan one day at a time.  You need to be willing to see set backs or relapses as opportunities to discover what is missing, put in the corrections needed and get back into the game.  I help you best if you are willing to set goals and be accountable for the results - or at least explore the reasons, excuses and justifications for why you don’t have the results since that inquiry usually uncovers what is missing.  Thus next time you can get the desired result.  If you understand that short term pain often leads to long term gain you will benefit best from food addiction help.  There will be times where you will need to become acceptant of being uncomfortable to reach your goals.  Of course there will also be high times and a deep sense of satisfaction.  In the words of Abraham Maslow, one of the giants of modern psychology that inspired me in my Freshman Psychology 101 course, you will be on your way to becoming a self-actualized person with many peak experiences in your life.
